Shipping Policy
Every order from High Mountain Meats ships frozen, overnight, straight to your door. Here's everything you need to know about how it gets to you.
Shipping rates
- Free shipping on orders of $199 or more.
- $39 flat rate on orders under $199, no matter where you are or how much your box weighs.
Your cart shows how close you are to free shipping as you shop, and your shipping cost is always shown before you pay.
Where we ship
We ship to all 48 contiguous states, plus Alaska and Washington, D.C. We aren't able to ship to P.O. boxes, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or outside the United States at this time.
When your order ships
Orders ship Monday through Thursday, so your box is never sitting in transit over a weekend. Orders placed later in the week go out on our next ship day.
Every box ships overnight, so it typically arrives the next business day after it ships. As soon as your box is on its way, you'll get an email with your tracking number.
Some cuts are available as pre-orders and ship as soon as they're ready. If anything in your order will take longer, we'll email you to let you know when to expect it.
How your order is packed
Every cut is vacuum-sealed and frozen, then packed in a styrofoam cooler with dry ice and bubble wrap to keep it frozen all the way to your door.
A note on dry ice: dry ice is extremely cold and can burn bare skin. Use gloves or a towel to handle it, keep it away from children and pets, and let any leftover dry ice evaporate in a well-ventilated area. Never put it in a sealed container.
When your box arrives
Please bring your box inside and put everything in the freezer as soon as you can. It's normal for some cuts to soften slightly in transit. According to USDA guidance, meat that still has ice crystals or is cold to the touch (40°F or below) can safely go back in the freezer.
If your box arrives damaged or your order arrives warm, take a few photos and email us at admin@highmountainmeats.com within 24 hours of delivery, and we'll make it right.
Your shipping address
We ship to the address you enter at checkout, so please double-check it before placing your order. We're not able to change the shipping address once an order has been placed.
