The High Mountain Meats Difference

At High Mountain Meats, we've devoted ourselves to finding the finest beef producers across the American West. Our partner ranches are carefully selected based on their commitment to raising cattle in the traditional way – on lush, high-elevation pastures with plenty of space to roam and graze naturally.

We believe that exceptional steakhouse-quality beef shouldn't be reserved for special occasions at expensive restaurants. By connecting you directly with premium producers and eliminating the middlemen, we're able to deliver extraordinary quality at a fair price right to your family's dinner table.

Every animal is raised according to strict protocols that emphasize animal welfare, sustainable practices, and premium nutrition. The result is beef with superior marbling, texture, and flavor that you can feel good about serving to your family.

Premium Dining at Home: The Smart Investment

When you purchase bulk beef from High Mountain Meats, you're not just buying meat – you're investing in exceptional dining experiences for months to come.

Consider this: A premium steakhouse dinner for a family of four easily costs $200-$300 for a single meal. For the same price as just a few restaurant outings, you can stock your freezer with the same quality beef to enjoy whenever you want.

Beyond the savings, there's something special about gathering around the table to enjoy exceptional quality meat knowing exactly where it came from and how it was raised. These are the moments that turn everyday dinners into memorable family experiences.

FAQs

Do you offer both grass-finished and grain-finished beef?

Yes! Our standard beef shares feature grain-finished beef - cattle that are grass-fed for most of their lives and then grain-finished for the final 60-90 days to enhance marbling and flavor. We also offer 100% grass-finished beef shares for customers who prefer beef from cattle that have never been fed grain. Grass-finished beef has a leaner profile with a more pronounced beef flavor, while grain-finished beef offers increased marbling and tenderness. Please specify your preference when ordering.

How much freezer space do I need?

As a general rule, you'll need approximately 1 cubic foot of freezer space for every 15-20 pounds of packaged meat. A quarter beef requires about 6-7 cubic feet, a half beef needs 12-14 cubic feet, and a whole beef requires 24-28 cubic feet of freezer space.

How long will my beef last in the freezer?

When properly stored in a good freezer, your beef will maintain optimal quality for 10-12 months. Many cuts will remain excellent even longer.
